Based on what you described below, I would agree that a RF 125 is the way to 
go.  There are one or more strings on this list about attaching sheets with 
“soft shackles” or similar means if you find that bowlines are getting hung up 
on the shrouds when you tack.

The 34 is a solid boat.  Have fun.

I am fairly new to sailing as this will be my fifth year. I primarily cruise. I 
am over 60 years old and, although I enjoy the work of sailing, I dont want to 
make it too much work. My current headsail is a 155 and it is a lot of sail. 
The way I sail doesn't require that much. After posting this i would be wiser 
to have a 125 or so. I have a furler so I have no intent on changing sails.
