Hey Listers, I have an old datamarine knot meter. For 15 seasons, I have applied a heavy grease to the sending unit annually. That's it. Never had a problem until last season when it briefly leaked just after launch. Before I could take any action, the leak stopped. But remembering this, this season, I decided to replace the two [2] "O" rings on the body of the sending unit. But, being careful not to damage the sending unit, I have been unable to remove the old rings by hand. Can everyone suggest a tool or technique for the removal of the O rings without risking damage?
