Shawn When we purchased Persistence in 2014 it had a complete set of B&G Speed/Wind/Depth. All were working but the displays were becoming dim and old and hard to read from any angle other than straight on. I replaced all three with the Raymarine i50/i60 kit.
What is interesting is that the previous owner had replaced the tranducers for the B&G speed and/or depth with Airmar transducers only 2 years previously. Not sure which B&G set on the 35 but ours were B&G H1000. The displays were no longer available and the newer B&G displays were incompatible with our system Mike On Tue, Apr 30, 2019, 11:31 PM Shawn Wright via CnC-List <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: The 35-2 has an original (I think) B&G knot meter, but the paddle wheel has one paddle broken off from a lifting strap. Apparently this old sender is no longer available. Is it worth getting a replacement knot meter to get speed over water? The boat also comes with a B&G H1000 windex and several extra display units. Possibly I could find a knot meter sending unit to work with these? Or should I knot bother and just settle for GPS speed? -- Shawn Wright [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> _______________________________________________ Thanks everyone for supporting this list with your contributions.
