Hi Edd,
On our 1994 C&C 37/40+, I recently replaced the halyards, and for both the jib 
and the main I went with 120 feet of 7/16" of New England Ropes VPC.  At the 
time, APS had the best price.  I like this line as it is a little nubbier than 
most and is held nicely by the clutches.
