No way is anyone causally sailing a Log Canoe, just getting one rigged is a huge project and you really are nuts if you don’t have a chase boat close behind. If one capsizes it is a huge project to fix and we had a fatal accident off our club two years ago when someone was trapped under the rig. Maintenance is high on those things too, 100 years old would be quite young, probably half those boats are from the late 1800s.
