After having a time during Isabel with line adjusting I decided never again
messing with that all night and every hurricane since I am out of here for a
mooring. At least for Isabel I was smart enough to reverse all the lines so the
adjustable end was on the boat and I didn’t have to climb off and go diving
underwater to loosen lines or tighten them. The other thing I did was *not use
cleats*! Plenty of idiots did nothing at all with their lines and their
too-short lines pulled up hard on the cleats that were through-bolted to the
dock planks. Said planks are not bolted down and the nails pulled out! So
walking around you had to not step in the invisible underwater trap with nails
in it ☹
