I took ours off soon after we got Callisto also. The head door is
sufficient for our needs to keep warmth in for the v-berth, and privacy is
not a concern. I do like the curtain idea, in case we do wish to add some
separation at some point. If we do any offshore crossings where we'd be
sleeping in the settee, I can see rigging a form of lee cloth for the
v-berth would be useful to keep gear in place.

Sort of related... has anyone found a suitable replacement door knob for
the head door on the 35-2? It's an annoying twist knob with separate handle
which requires both hands to operate, which is problematic in rough seas.
I'd prefer a small brass or bronze knob, but the door is probably too thin
for a household knob, but there must be a marine version (preferably
without the marine price tag...)
