I took ours off soon after we got Callisto also. The head door is sufficient for our needs to keep warmth in for the v-berth, and privacy is not a concern. I do like the curtain idea, in case we do wish to add some separation at some point. If we do any offshore crossings where we'd be sleeping in the settee, I can see rigging a form of lee cloth for the v-berth would be useful to keep gear in place.
Sort of related... has anyone found a suitable replacement door knob for the head door on the 35-2? It's an annoying twist knob with separate handle which requires both hands to operate, which is problematic in rough seas. I'd prefer a small brass or bronze knob, but the door is probably too thin for a household knob, but there must be a marine version (preferably without the marine price tag...) -- Shawn Wright shawngwri...@gmail.com S/V Callisto, 1974 C&C 35 https://www.facebook.com/SVCallisto On Sun, Sep 29, 2019 at 6:56 PM Dennis C. via CnC-List < cnc-list@cnc-list.com> wrote: > Removed Touche's bifold forward cabin door nearly 2 decades ago.
