I just wanted to show some appreciation for Stu's email list and thank some of it's members who I never would have met otherwise. First, I want to thank those who answered my many questions when I first bought my boat in 2002 and all of the great advice given over those early years. I'd like to thank Stu for maintaining his list and specifically:
Martin De Young who took me sailing aboard his custom 43 on Elliot Bay, Seattle, Washington, when I visited my daughter stationed there. Craig Montaque who met me for lunch and showed me his project boat and Port Townsend, Wa. Edd Shillay who let me and my son crew a couple races aboard Enterprise at City Island, NY to see how spinnakers are handled during a race. Monty Schumpert who helped me find a beautiful boat slip near Annapolis Md. Francois Rivard from Atlanta, Ga who when traveling through New Jersey, made a little detour to come sailing on my boat w his family on the Magothy River in Maryland and has since become a very good friend. Lastly, I'd like to send a thank you out to the many boat owners who made the effort to meet at various Rendezvous and the those who hosted those events. Thanks David Risch, Edd Shillay, Josh Muckley and others. Without Stu's list, we wouldn't know each other. His list introduced me to C&C'ers across the US and Canada.
