This is from the Navtec/Lewmar website: What kind of oil do I need for my Integral backstay adjuster, hydraulic panel, or hydraulic cylinder?
Hydraulic oils used with Navtec equipment should be premium petroleum based, antiwear oils that have anti-foam and anticorrosion additives. They should have the following minimum properties: Viscosity grade of ISO 32, viscosity index of 95, and a pour point of -10 degrees F (-20 degrees C). Navtec recommends the following oils: Shell Tellus T15, Mobil DTE 11M, Texaco Rando HD215 and Royal Purple Syndraulic 15. I'm an Amsoil fan so I called the tech support guy and gave them the specs. IIRC, They found that their synthetic power steering fluid was the one that matched. Right, wrong, or otherwise, I've had no problem since.
