I have not investigated specifically for myself because they always looked like standard through hole LEDs from the '80s. As a kid I always did all sorts of experiments with them. The bare LEDs I played with were about 3/16ths and you could buy sockets for them too. When I looked online just now, I realize that they are sold in metric diameters. Based on available metric sizes I would guess that they are 5mm.

Much higher than 3 and the LED will burn out. It was common to directly solder a resistor to one of the legs of the LED and sell the combo as a "x.xx volt LED". The resistor would come exposed or sometimes heat shrinked to give a more finished look. Calcs https://www.evilmadscientist.com/2012/resistors-for-leds/ Armed with that info I think you can do a little disassembly to determine exactly what you have and then order online. Let me know if you get stuck. Josh Muckley S/V Sea Hawk 1989 C&C 37+ Solomons, MD On Fri, May 29, 2020, 14:13 Bruce Whitmore via CnC-List < [email protected]> wrote: > Cool.
