Warning number 2:
Unless you own the hose and you got it from inside your boat, you have no idea 
what else it has been doing or where it has been. Usually at least twice a year 
I found someone has “borrowed” my hose or otherwise unwound it and left a lot 
of it underwater. Who knows what nasty stuff grows in there.  When I find it 
this way I usually pour a quart of bleach into it and run it back and forth and 
then purge it. Lately I have just had one hose for drinking water that stays 
below and the dock hose is for cleaning chores.
Speaking of cleaning, don’t mix up the fresh water hose and your salt water 
washdown hose either!
