Five years ago, I purchased two 6 volt, 224AH AGM batteries from a battery supply company for $269.70 each. I wired them in series to give me 12V @224 AH. I don't know how that compares with what you were quoted for 12 volt/80 AH batteries. If you're near a battery company (not a marine supply company) you might try getting a quote from them.
