Hello Listers. I think there has been some discussion about this in the past. Yesterday while returning from a 4 day cruise I noticed that there was some play at the top of the rudder post in the cockpit. Thus generally occurred while underway in heavier seas. I checked below and there was some water intrusion at the top of the post or around the packing gland. Not alot but some.
The boat is coming out for the season in 3 weeks. How major a job us this and any advice is appreciated. Is this a replace the rudder post kind of job? I will see if u can get some pictures this week and post. The other challenge how do people even fit back in that area to work on it?
