I cannot say it will or won't help, but be warned:
Used boat prices have ramped up HUGELY in the last year or so. My wife thought 
maybe we should move up and I wasted time and money looking at floating junk 
that would have been going for scrap a couple of years ago. Also note the 
iPhone effect: Apple uses a lot of AI to make a tiny camera and sensor produce 
nice photos. The brokers use these phones to take many of the photos you see. 
The boats will NOT look that good. I steam-cleaned the non-skid in the cabin of 
our boat and it looked really nice compared to before. I sent my wife a photo 
and it looked like a BRAND NEW BOAT. If you saw that in a listing, you would be 
impressed. In real life it is NOT that good.
Meanwhile the same thing with campers and airplanes is going on. I just helped 
deliver an airplane 3,000 miles because my buddy had to jump on it no matter 
how far away it was and the thing went for about $60K over what it would have a 
year previous.
Anything to escape covid is $$$$$$
