Hello all,  I thought I would post this up only because our family is getting
so busy that I haven't had the time to put into the boat lately. If I finish
her this summer I will keep her, otherwise just testing waters in case any
other C&C fans are interested.
I have a 1980 C&C 40-2 tall rig 7ft draft Yanmar 30QM with 10 gallons diesel
tank, 60 gallons fresh water of which 30 is good, the other 30 gallon tank
needs work as it has a small leak. almost new manual flush head, full galley
with 4 burner force stove/oven and 2 basin sink. FORWARD FACING NAV DESK which
was important to me. All teak interior, standard layout sleeps 6 with V-birth
and quarter birth on port side behind nav stn. Starboard Galley. All hatches
including companionway top slider are glass with no crazing. includes spinnaker
pole/wing pole and has swim step ladder.
Anyone seriously interested in her is welcome to physical inspection and if
seriously interested is welcome to have a survey prior to purchase. Some want
one, some do the inspection themselves, it's up to the interested buying party
as to what they want to do about it. I have an old survey somewhere in the
records and I also have documentation history from new purchase until the prior
owner to me.
documented USCG sailboat 12.06m/39.72ft "40-2" ex racer/cruiser that we bought
a couple years ago. I started fixing the small things and upgrading the
electronics on her to modern LED lighting, AIS and radios etc.
She comes with at least 7 bags of sails, I have a dinghy and 15hp outboard and
a whole lotta parts for the big plans I was working on. I am on the fence as to
sell or finish the upgrades but thought I would post. She currently has
Raymarine instruments from the early mid 2000's circa 2006 or 2008 ish. I was
planning on replacing or supplementing with new NMEA backbone and B&G
electronics.
I wanted her blue-water cruise ready for some day in the not so distant future
I wanted to Trans-Pac her over to Hawaii and meet up with family members that
live over there. My wife's family members have called HI home since the 1850's,
long before being part of the USA. They have grown coffee and macadamia nuts
for over 100 years on their plantation farm. We were eventually going to cruise
the islands then head back to the West coast and cruise back down to our home
port after visiting several areas of the PNW again. Kids are so busy and tied
in with their friends we have put all that off for now.
$18,500 will include all the newer upgrade stuff I bought for her including:

If just the boat is wanted, the price will reflect and can be negotiated.....

Boat is located in Wilmington, California on the west coast and the marina slip
is transferrable OAC with the management if desired.
She needs some work on the cabin top, lights, lifelines which I have bought
some spare parts that are OEM to C&C from our well known Chandlery listed in
the C&C website pages.
I have pictures available and can show the boat almost any weekend or by
appointment.
We want to finish it but so many activities with my twin girls and son that I
have had a hard time breaking away and do things I want to on her. The family
wants to cruise the islands over the summer but with all the sports and
activities, I don't know how or when they will have the time.
I posted this up here just in case.
