On a general note, I installed a Nexus 2000 system on Touche' in 2000.
It's now known as a Nexus Classic system. Although it has provided good
service, I've been nursing it along by sourcing spares and replacements off
eBay. Nexus classic parts have always been pricey.

I've now decided that if I have a major part failure, i;e. server, wind
instrument, etc., I will replace the entire system with a brand new one and
sell the serviceable Nexus classic parts on eBay. My guess is that I would
break even or maybe even come out ahead monetarily.

My point is, that for someone like me who is entirely capable of replacing
an instrument system myself, it makes more sense than buying expensive
parts to keep an old system on life support. For someone who has to hire a
contractor to install a new system, it may not make sense.
