Interesting idea. For shroud and backstay telltales I use cassette tape. Currently Led Zeppelin Houses of the Holy.
Thanks all for the replies. I’ll go with McLube on my dacron genoa luff telltales of yarn. I’m getting my main back from Sail Care this week with new nylon telltales. Problem is, once they fray, they start to catch stitching or batten pocket closures etc. I’ll try plastic next time that happens.
