I have 3 forward halyards and one aft.  Center is blue, to match all the rest 
of the headsail lines.  Outers are red to match the other spinacher linedIt is 
on a retainer to ensure that the furler doesn't wrap the halyard.  The out side 
halyards are for a spinaker.  In racing, depending on the rounding, you would 
launch on the port or stbd based on the wind direction after the turn.  It is a 
recipe for disaster to attempt to furl if the spinaker is not on the halyard 
leward of the furler.
