ChuckI sent a picture to you of my sole. Slipping has never been a problem and
looks great after 13 years.  I would do anything other...that's my opinion of
course. Good luck to ya. Paul Hood416.799.5549

flooring That snap plank flooring looks interesting.  I like the look of a teak
and holly cabin floor, but it's really not practical and it's way too expensive
these days.  It requires maintenance and gets slippery when the boat heels.  It
sheds water, unless that water puddles, then if the varnish has any damage the
water gets under, it lifts the finish.  The water gets into the wood and rots
the wood.      I think I prefer a waterproof carpet or EVA flooring.  Better
grip when sailing and warmer in winter.   I wish I could find a high quality
product like PermaTeak in DIY self adhesive sheets and I would simply cover the
floor boards I have.  Les expensive, better for the environment, better for the
feet.   Chuck S          On 07/21/2025 5:05 PM EDT Dennis C. via CnC-List

marine flooring.  Who knew?   Now you can install snap together flooring in
your boat.  I've glued down PlasDek before but have been intimidated by doing
an entire cabin sole because of having to cut a pattern, etc to ensure a good
fit.  Snap together holly teak looks much less intimidating.

Site says it's $9.26/sq ft.  A box of 9 planks is $290.  Each box is about
25 square feet.  I'm guessing 2 boxes would do it.   -- Dennis C. Touche' 35-1
