We periodically have a discussion of favorite cheap and useful boat stuff. Here are two additions:
Scar Pins: Until a few years ago, I had never heard of or seen Scar Pins. I have had a set on my boat for several years now and love them. Simple and quick to attach and remove and easier to use than cotter pins or rings for keeping shrouds and stays from rotating. I found a good source for them at a reasonable cost: https://www.velasailingsupply.com/scar-pin-quick-release-3-32-x-3-4-pack-of-8/ Compact tool set- This set is my go-to on the boat. Had it for 3 years and no rust. I love having both the deep and shallow sockets plus extensions in one compact set, not to mention the screwdriver bits. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K9S48RJ?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2 David Knecht S/V Aries 1990 C&C 34+ New London, CT
