New features: Enterprise Manager - Un-register servers - You can now even register a server that doesn't respond - Un-register databases - Adding or deleting a Backup or Restore Project now adds it to the corresponding server node Procedure Editor - You can now edit 'scale' of Numeric parameters Constraint Editor - The 'Extract DDL' menu option now works Database Navigator - Double clicking a procedure now opens the Procedure Editor - Double clicking a constraint now opens the Constraint Editor - Now lists triggers on Views - De-activate and activate triggers from the Navigator (right mouse click) - New option 'Autoexpand fields' for tables, views and referential constraints - Drop database objects from the treeview Trigger Editor - Now supports triggers on Views All Object Editors - An 'Extract DDL' button in the toolbar as an addition to the 'View' menu item - A warning (for IB6) or error (for IB5.x) is given if you use InterBase or SQL92/99 Keywords as an object name (unique feature!) - Synchronization between object editors (adding, deleting objects), Database Navigator and Describe Companion (eg: Generator Values) Overall - More query effective fetching of Unique Constraint, Primary Constraint and Foreign Key Constraint data - More query effective fetching of Index data - Several forms remember their size when closing and re-opening - 'Find Next' and 'Replace' added, remembers last few search strings Bug fixes (some of these were released as a new build 0.8.0.x): - When registering with the 'local' server, in certain conditions a AV would occur - When adding a column to an existing table, you cannot change the 'not null' attribute - In the Single SQL Editor, you would sometimes get a 'field name missing' error - Saving a resultset sometimes wasn't possible because the 'Save' button was disabled - Columns created as 'numeric (18, x)' were extracted as INT64, an unknown type - Selecting 'extract DDL' from the Procedure Editor and pressing 'cancel' in the options dialog would result in an Access Violation - Selecting 'extract DDL' from the Procedure Editor shows a dialog asking for 'Full DDL' or 'modification DDL', even if you didn't change anything - Extracted Trigger DDL didn't use quoted identifiers for IB6, Dialect 3 databases - Quick Browse for tables and views with mixed case names didn't work - No DDL for Unique Constraints was extracted when extracting Tables or the full Database - Extracting Table DDL sometimes forgets the primary key constraint name if it is user defined - Views did not use quoted identifiers when creating a view - Extracting Procedure DDL from the Procedure Editor didn't include the terminator - Trigger Editor didn't use syntax coloring settings - Trigger Editor had a 'column type 0 unknown' error when doing a 'select <> from <> into :<>' - Procedure Editor didn't use syntax coloring settings - Procedure Editor now uses the Upper Case Identifiers setting for procedure parameters - Table Editor would allow modification of columns attributes (default, not null etc) if the field wasn't new - Grant Manager would not execute grants for Dialect 3 quoted identifiers - Constraint Editor memory leak fixed - Show/Hide line numbers and SelectedColor/SelectedBackColor from the Preferences screen now works - Connecting to a database would turn 'Forced Writes' ON for that database - it now keeps the setting as before connecting - When adding/deleting backup or restore projects, the Enterprise Manager wouldn't synchronize the list of projects - When closing the application while having a Object Editor on screen, this would result in an AV - 'Quick Browse' screen didn't close automatically when closing down the Database Navigator - Index Editor wouldn't save index when only changing the 'active' checkbox - (De)Activating an Index from the Database Navigator didn't use quoted identifiers enjoy!
