Hi Jason, >I have one dns record on a server in which I would like to allow-update from >another server that is on a dynamic IP. Question is I can change the >named.conf file to allow-update but once I add or adjust another domain it >resets this back. > >Does anyone have a hint on how to make this change stick. You can have a file (that is not overwritten) included in any zone file by creating the file in /etc/named and naming it pri.<name of zone>.inc (see any existing pri. file for an exact description. If you need entries in named.conf, I am afraid you need to edit /usr/admserv/cgi-bin/.cobalt/dns/index.cgi Please note this file may be overwritten with any OS update or DNS system/security update. If you want, my team can provide you a solution that will stick, even after updates. Unfortunately for you this does not come free.
