Troy,
We have been using Dreamweaver UltraDev 4 with our RaQ4r for a while now. We have
not been able
to setup a ASP/ODBC connection to databases on our server. I think this is due to
limitations in
ChiliSoft ASP? I have not had time to research this. We have had success connecting
to a Interbase
6 DB, via InterClient 2 JDBC driver, from Dreamweaver UltraDev via the JSP/JDBC
connection. Keep in
mind we had to manually install the InterClient 2 JDBC driver, and I am not sure if it
has anything
to do with it or not, but we are using InterBase 6 Super Server Edition. We removed
the default
Classic Server edition.
As for the MySQL pkg file go to
http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com/
They will have what you need and more.
As for the DSN, we did experience problems in the past with that. I cannot remember
the exact
circumstances, but I think it had more to do with us and the info we were using.
Although at one
point the info was correct. Not much help there. I have had situations though were
the test works
perfectly but the DSN does not?
We may not be able to help much on the ASP front, because we are beginning
migration from ASP to
JSP. But will be using ASP for a couple clients projects in the next month or so. We
will let you
know, if your still stuck. Otherwise feel free to post to the group, any info you
have.
