create a .htaccess file with the following lines
ErrorDocument 404 http://www.sitename.isp/error404.htm
ErrorDocument 401 http://www.sitename.isp/error401.htm
ErrorDocument 500 http://www.sitename.isp/error500.htm
then place it in the /home/sites/sitex/web folder
job done :)
