I'm trying to install Python 2.1 on a RAQ4,
I can't find anything on the cobalt website to help
and the rpm I tried to install from www.python.org failed
(http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.1.1/rpms/python2-2.1.1-3.src.rpm
& http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.1.1/rpms/expat-1.1-4tummy.src.rpm).
I used the command rpm --rebuild expat-1.1-4tummy.src.rpm
followed by rpm --rebuild python2-2.1.1-3.src.rpm
and got the messages:
error: failed build dependencies:
expat-devel >= 1.1-3tummy is needed by python2-2.1.1-3
db1-devel is needed by python2-2.1.1-3
Does anyone know where can I find an rpm that will update the Python
correctly and before I do the update is Python used in any of the RAQ4
admin ?
