Tim,
The last correspondence I had with an Intel tech helping me dial in a
Dual ethernet card and a Cisco switch, it seemed the e100 was the end
all to all Intel ethernet cards. It is supposed to be capable of running
any Intel Ethernet card.
Why all of the intel ethernet mod's do not support IANS is beyond me, but
I think e100 is supposed to be the universal one that does.
So I would ask in return, any reason why Sun/Cobalt decided to go with
eepro100 instead of e100?
I am not a kernel hacker, and have no clue what the difference in the
mods are aside from the hardware and features they support. I could care
less which one I use, as long as it gets the job done.
