I'd have to go back and look at the release notes, but my recollection is that versions prior to 7.0.x had some problems with vacuum, and that 7.1.x is really the version that one should run. Don't quote me on the specifics, though. > But I did already upgrade on one raq to 7.1.3 and I never had > any problem like this or database crash during swatch or > whatever. > I think it should be a great deal to propose a general update > of postgresql on cobalt raq3 and raq4. I think so. As Matt pointed out, one must dump and restore versions when upgrading from 7.0.x or older to 7.1.x. You seem to know what you're doing, but I don't want anyone upgrading binaries and wondering what happened. ***** Read the "INSTALL" file in the pgsql source distribution before upgrading. ***** Eddy --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brotsman & Dreger, Inc. - EverQuick Internet Division Phone: +1 (316) 794-8922 Wichita/(Inter)national Phone: +1 (785) 865-5885 Lawrence --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 21 May 2001 11:23:58 +0000 (GMT) From: A Trap <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Please ignore this portion of my mail signature.
