Hi,

openssl has a dependancy on the program bc (even though there is no 
BuildPreReq directive in the openssl spec file) to compile. Install 
bc-1.05a-4 rpm from RedHat 6.2 distro to satisfy this (and possibly 
other) dependencies. http://rpmfind.net is your friend.
