This looks as though it is a problem with the OSRCD not the Rom therefore use the latest RaQ4 OSRCD from ftp.cobalt.com you want the one that says fixed in its title I think it is 960-RAQ40101AU-fixed.iso.gz this has a later fdisk on it - it worked for 40GB drives that didn't get recognized by the other OSRCD so it should work for this fingers crossed - please report back.
