Having your own Restore cd's ist a cool way of keeping new raq's the same software state as the running raqs. We made our own scripts to put new restore cds together in a sec. How to do it (We did it this way - i'm sure there is a better way): First download the latest iso from sun cobalt ftp server Then Mount it mount -o loop,unhide -t iso9660 /home/asbach/raq4.iso /home/cobalt_img COPY the contents of the mountpoint into a directory (eg. /home/cobalt/cdcopy/cdrom/cobalt_img/) Now you have your own filesystem copy of the contents of the iso image OS updates can be put there: /home/cobalt/cdcopy/cdrom/cobalt_img/nfsroot-x86/bto-sync/updates/ Additional software (eg. Mysql package, php package) should be put there: /home/cobalt/cdcopy/cdrom/cobalt_img/nfsroot-x86/bto-sync/bundles/ Then make a new bootable iso image mkisofs -U -r -b boot/eltorito.img -c boot/boot.catalog -o /home/asbach/raq4sebi.iso . call it from the root dir of the iso copy (eg. /home/cobalt/cdcopy/cdrom/cobalt_img/) Now you have to burn the NEW iso image (in my case i download it to a win2k machine and burn it) The is the reseach we did on our own, if there is more detailed information on putting a restore cd together i would be happy to discuss it.
