What is a Raq550?

I am aware of the Cube3, Raq4/4r, XTR, cache raq and the control
station? And their predecessors Cube2, Raq2/3, maybe even some 1's out
there.

But I have never heard about a Raq550.

I see the article you are referring to,
http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1103-898665.html

I think the XTR should be a multiprocessor machine as well, since the
hardware is obviously ready for two processors.

That will be somewhat upsetting if they do not, and instead release
another Cobalt unit that supports two processors.

Unless it will support more than two processors? :)

Definitely something to look out for. It will be interesting to see what
Sun will do with the Cobalt line.

I assume little to know info will be provided on this topic by
Sun/Cobalt representatives due to NDA's.

Even the article is little sketchy about the exact details. So only time
may tell.
