User unknown ------------------ (funny?) well, I hope someone from sun is listening/reading, because we got serious trouble with CMU (cobalt migration utility) and there is no contact (email) given in the whole doku or elsewhere related to CMU. basic problem: users with a "." in their name never get migrated correctly (especially accessrights on the /var/spool/mail-files are wrong) and we even experience whole users not getting imported without further notice by CMU. I guess we are not alone with this and guess what, o'coz our user-naming-schemes are based on "shortcut" + "." + "username" to make the whole thing more readable... sidestep: everyone who relays on CMU to do backups of userdata (because we finally all realized standard backup doesn't enable you to restore userdata like userids, virtual-site-structures, passwords, etc.) might be doing their backups with flaws, when "day zero" comes and you would like to get online asap locking none of your users out... thank you in advance Harald Kapper kapper.net, inc. managing director loeblichgasse 6 chief software development 1090 vienna, .at tel +43 1 3195500-0, fax +43 1 3195502, [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ cobalt-developers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-developers
