Jason,

I am very interested in the script you wrote, was it easy to do?

I wrote a perl script that grabs the cobalt bandwidth report from the web
and stores the values daily. Calculate the start of the month - today and
you get the usage.

The question is "per server", which may mean single IP#s, range or class
of IP#s, or even multiple IP#s from separate classes.

It's a common question; it's a common need of anyone who does
colocation... how do we keep our clients from using for bandwidth than
they've paid for?

Or at least, how can we be notified when they're attempting to use too
much bandwidth, so we can let them know, or do something manually.

The only way I know how to do it is with (expensive) router options.
Anyone have a good idea?

Jeff
