I personally think that people who put hard work into a project and
produce a good, useful application deserve to be financially rewarded
for their efforts.
Designing a package like this takes many hours, so if your time is
worth
$3 per hour to you, I'm sure you can get a bargain by doing it
yourself.
However if you feel your time is more valuable you may want to "stand
on
the backs of giants" and avoid the duplication of effort.
