Hi Jeff, > Not to mention only 512MB memory, and a processor family about to be EOL > (and already harder to get and higher-priced than the newer ones).
Yeah, which is a big turn off. On the other hand: Just use Google to search for the term "1u server with lcd": http://www.google.com/search?q=1u+server+with+lcd&start=0&start=0 I just looked at the first returned link (www.aberdeeninc.com), but that gives some nice ideas about features and pricing: http://www.aberdeeninc.com/abcatg/MB7115.htm It's a "naked" 1U unit with LCD panel and minus the OS. The prices don't look too bad although I have not yet started to compare them with other vendors of similar units. I could very well imagine using such a system in conjunction with Guardian Digital EnGarde Secure Linux: http://store.guardiandigital.com/html/eng/products/software/esp_overview.shtml That's the OS (with GUI) which I plan to use for new boxes as long as Qbalt is not yet available. -- With best regards, Michael Stauber _______________________________________________ cobalt-developers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-developers
