After the rom kernel boots and mounts a nfs share can it not load a kernel from the nfs share. Or must it then use and rely on the kernel in the rom.
If you can boot another kernel via nfs, whats the path and name the kernel needs to be in. I have tried all sorts and no luck. I just get my unpacked initrd env from the Gentoo install cdrom. If it relies on the kernel in the rom then I will most likely have to make a rom specific for booting Gentoo. What ever kernel I boot off must have cloop suppport, tmpfs, and devfs. >From there think I can kludge the rest of the install from the cd via a weird nfs env. I have been able to boot and mount my nfs share. I get to play in a micro busy box env that does not do much for me. If I try to run Gentoo's linuxrc I get all sorts of errors. Some I can modify around others I can't. -- Sincerely, William L.
