Does anyone know how to boot off of an initrd with the bootloader? I'm trying out some pretty wacky stuff, that if I can't get going, I'll just have to give up, but it'd be nice to try.
I've got two hard-disks in a Qube 3 (with 450 Mhz K6-III and SCSI), partitioned identically on both, with the first 512 MB in one partition, and the rest in a second. I've got a complete system running over nfs that I used to set up my hard disks for how I'd like to boot them. I've got hda2 and hdc2 sporting a raid volume, hda1 is /boot and hdc1 is swap. On top of the RAID partition, I have LVM, so I'd like to use an initrd to activate it than pivot over to that as root, but I can't figure out the bootloader. Is there any source for a full explanation of the bootloader, or does anyone know how to get an initrd working with it?
