The most likely cause for the Telnet hanging if the DSL connection is down
is due to the Qube performing reverse dns when you try to telnet into it, or
your PC not using the same domain/network settings for IP.
We can simulate a similar situation with Linux based PC's which either use
solely external DNS servers (and have their Internet connection down) or
have no DNS running on the Linux box or internal network and no Internet
connection.
