Hi. We have some Mips boxes that have gone down 3 times within the last 16 days. We put the main box up on the 9th and it completly froze on the 15th, then on the 21st, then today on the 25th. We are behind a Linksys router and port forward ports 80, 81, 22, 25, and do not use FTP or Telnet and do not allow shell accounts. Our Logcheck messages are emailed to a different server and do not show any security violations or unusual system events before or after the box freezes. We are thinking that some ppl with Click2 or Devine Internention 3 are nuking our boxes; is this a possibility? All the services freeze and require a power down; the LCD is frozen as well. The machines were offline in production for 3 months and never had these problems until we applied all the post- restore- CD pkg files and connected to the Internet. Just wondering if this is a nuking or DoS issue and what should be done about it (i.e. better firewall) Cheers ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 _______________________________________________ cobalt-security mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-security
