as root from command prompt do a :
netstat -lnp
and that'll list all the ports on your box that are listening and whats
using them
simply add those required ports to the firewall config and your done.
TIP: restrict telnet/ssh to only those IPs that you intent to admin the
server from

Does anyone know what ports are needed for everyday use and admin as im
wanting to block the rest with a firewall?
All the admin pc's reside outside the firewall.
