I am running Apache 1.3.20, which I installed by hand (copied over, and left cobalt-specific stuff intact). Once a week my Apache server is getting killed by logrotate (the SIGUSR1 call...). It does not restart. What happens: It doesn't restart, and then I come along later and have to start it by hand... [Tue Sep 25 04:02:21 2001] [notice] SIGUSR1 received. Doing graceful restart [Tue Sep 25 10:21:32 2001] [notice] Apache/1.3.20 (Unix) PHP/4.0.6 mod_perl/1.26 PHP/4.0.6 mod_auth_pam/1.0a mod_ssl/2.8.4 OpenSSL/0.9.6b configured -- resuming normal operations Anyone know of a workaround? p.s. security aspect - I do not run the admserver out of /etc/rc.d/init. If I need it, I ssh in and start it by hand. I don't see how this could be related, but thought I should mention it. -- Daniel L.
