Putty can be downloaded for free at the following URL: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/ SecureCRT can be downloaded here: http://www.vandyke.com/products/securecrt/ Instructions to login by SSH: You need to switch your SSH client to SSH protocol 2 (the old protocol 1 is unsafe) and then you need to specify the username you want to login with. User "root" is (usually) not allowed to login by SSH. Login as "admin" instead and if you need root-rights to make changes, then type "su", press return and confirm with your admin password to gain SuperUser rights. -- With best regards, Michael Stauber [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unix/Linux Support Engineer _______________________________________________ cobalt-security mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-security
