What I'm looking for is to build a team of dedicated people to create a release of Linux specifically for webhosting. For example, it would include security features and proftpd, ssh instead of Telnet, etc. The easiest way to do this would be to use RH Linux; only need to add a few RPMs and change the file that drives the installation. Might be a bit harder but more solid, using Rocklinux. In any event, it'd be a completely volunteer project, just as the original Linux was at the beginning. The only thing the volunteers will get for their efforts is a small bit of name recognition, the satisfaction of seeing a job well-done, and the ability to make and sell (if they wish) from their own website, and offer services for, the new distribution, a day or two before everyone else could <smile>. Any takers? OFFLIST please. Jeff -- Jeff Lasman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Linux and Cobalt/Sun/RaQ Consulting nobaloney.net P. O.
