[cobalt-security] raq3 to 550 osrcd

In reading the posts here and elsewhere, it is my understanding that to use a 550 osrcd on a raq3/4 it is necessary to first update the ROM.  I’ve done this without incident.  Just lucky I guess. I gather that to use the 550 osrcd to update the ROM causes problems.  “Boat anchors” I believe was the expression. Since I don’t have a boat my question is this.  Now that I’ve updated the ROM how do I keep the 550 osrcd from rewriting the ROM “update” if indeed, writing the ROM is part of the osr process.    Thanks Terry Dwyer Indian Hill Media Inc.
