More than a little extreme. If you have patched and secured your servers
properly you *should* be okay. Of course if they want to hack you a Cobalt
is a LOT easier than other boxes

A drastic measure and equally late. If I were taking part in a web defacement competition on a Sunday then I would have been scanning hosts in the prior week and compromising them in advance. Cobalt servers would make a great target as they have known security issues, are relatively easy to identify, generally remain unpatched, and contain a lot of web sites.


I doubt that this competition will amount to anything though.
