Hmmmm, it is in /root.cpan how can I force it to end up in home?
And, can I delete it in /root ?

I suppose you can symlink /root/.cpan/ to /home/.cpan/

or rm /root/.cpan -Rf

perl should aks on next run where to create it.
(and redo the initial cpan config)

If you do a rebuild, just be sure that you choose "ask" for the question

Policy on building prerequisites (follow, ask or ignore)? [ask]

Otherwise you can get a "runaway" Perl that upgrades itself and we all know what a mess that will make of a Cobalt server...

:(
