Subject: [cobaltfacts] Severe Memory Problem - It's Mailscanner

Ok I am now wondering whether we have actually got a load
of runaway processes from Mailscanner which was badly installed
and now I can't seem to stop it. The usual ........../MailScanner stop command cant find it

Can someone please remind me where the start-up commands are that get run
when the system is rebooted. I Wonder if I delete it from there
then the thing wont run again

Blessings
Leonard

Someone needs to bless that raq or do a exorcism on it for sure lol.

/etc/rc.d/init.d/MailScanner restart
/etc/rc.d/init.d/MailScanner stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/MailScanner start
/etc/rc.d/init.d/MailScanner status

issue the stop command over and over till you get a error.
then you know its really been stopped.

David
