You could try out SquirrelMail [1] best of both worlds IMHO.
i think i'd like squirrelmail better. is there a pkg for it and can i run
neomail simultaneously?
There should be no problem with running any number of webmails on the same
machine as they are just web interfaces to IMAP.
No pkg as far as I know but it's not exactly hard to install. I would create a
separate SSL site for webmail ( https://webmail.maxxnet.de ) and just download
[1], untar into site and follow the install instructions which is a nice setup
script.
There is a very nice collection of plugins available as well for other mail apps
you may have such as spam filters etc. You don't need any of them but I would
recommend the "Ask User Info" plugin [3].
