I can't help you with what You have do so far, but when I tried
porting over the old RaQ550 I used this

It works really well. I just could never get the damn gui to function
100% again. It would work w/ .jsp, but not .war files :-(

I am currently working on installing java 1.5 and tomcat 5.5
om my bluequartz(raq4r) system.
I checked the source from sun and found the base-java.mod for
integrating the jsp support on the GUI.
Checking all the scripts i found basicly everything important
to make this work, but as I don't have a original raq550 with
java installed I can not check some missing files.
it would be nice if someone can tell me the content of
/etc/rc.d/init.d/tomcat.init and
/usr/java/jakarta-tomcat/conf/mod_jk.conf-auto
this is currently what I need to check for getting further..
