Hi all.

I have a RAQ4r which is telling me the Raid 1 array has failed.
All it says is 'A Hard Drive Has Failed...' and not if it is the left or
right.

mdstat has the following info...

[root /proc]# cat mdstat
Personalities : [linear] [raid0] [raid1] [raid5] [translucent]
read_ahead 1024 sectors
md1 : active raid1 hdc1[1] hda1[0](F) 3072256 blocks [2/1] [_U]
md3 : active raid1 hdc3[1] hda3[0](F) 1536128 blocks [2/1] [_U]
md4 : active raid1 hdc4[1] hda4[0](F) 35375680 blocks [2/1] [_U]
md6 : active raid1 hdc6[1] hda6[0](F) 131456 blocks [2/1] [_U]
unused devices: <none>
[root /proc]#

I assume the Right hand hard drive is hda (Primary) and the Left hand hard
drive is hdc (Secondary).
can anyone tel me if there is a way of telling if it is the right or left
hard drive from the above.
Does the [_U] indicate that hda has failed and [U_] would indicate hdc has
failed ?
Is there anywhere else that holds some more info ? there is mo mdadm or
raidtools on the RQA4r that I can find.

Any help would be welcome.

Cheers

Paul.
